Fight Fiendish Aliens – Save Cute Fluffies
Check out this new highly paced action game – Alien Flux You get to battle
your way though 100 different levels all the while protecting cute fluffy
animals from the evil aliens who are trying to turn them into lime jelly!
No, it’s not my game (I wish it was) but I have created a download site for
it:
http://alienflux.tankammo.com/
Make sure you have the latest (or at least recent) drivers for your video card
because this game makes use of OpenGL to deliver some kick arse graphics.
DirectX 5 or better is needed for sound and apart from that all you need is a
keyboard and mouse.
Only 11MB, if you have dial up then download it and watch some tv (or do some
study ;p) if you have broadband then what are you waiting for?
HEALTH WARNING: Alien Flux is addictive.
Hope you enjoy it as much as Ali and I have been (please, try not to
accidentally kill too many fluffies ;)
Cheers,
Will.

Expletives, Telstra and
Well what a fun week. Let’s start with the promised expletive – SHITTY FUCK FUCK. Sick again. Turns out that I didn’t totally shake the flu when I thought I had. there goes my weekend. Was sent home to bed today and told not to go to work tomorrow as well. So I miss tennis again :( Of course work was great too – read on:
We are having problems with out internet phone line at work. It was disconnected late Friday (for a then unknown reason) so I left it over the weekend. Finally only 24 hours after logging the call yesterday, telstra rocks up. However it turns out that the line in question is a hospital analogue line – not what we thought was an external Telstra line. “Then where is the telstra line that we pay monthly rent on” I then ask?, Telstra guy: *points out window* “probably under that pile of rubble where the old hospital was”, “think we’ll get a refund?” “no, but you better send a fax and close the account”. Well we have been the pround owners for two years of a phone line which was buried under a pile of rubble. In an act of Kama however, it appears the hospital accidentally forgot to charge us for their line so it kinda balances out (I think they thought it was a telstra line too…).

Dinner & Daytona
Ali and I had dinner last night at a nice little Italian restaurant on Albert St (near the Royal Albert – but I can’t remember it’s name). I had a succulent rib fillet steak :D (mmm). Then we went timezone (yes – not your usual date, believe it or not it was Ali’s idea) to play some good ‘ol Daytona.
We played two games – and the results were very close (the first game, I won by a nose, the second by a few noses). I had the upper hand using manual transmittion – but anyone is free to use that. What a timeless game – it must be a good 7 years old by now I think! What’s funny is that there were 6 original Daytona machines – yet only 2 Daytona 2′s.
