New Email Client

No more KMail for me, I am now with the vastly superior Evolution email client. This client is very advanced and can even intereact with MS exchange server (which makes it good for office linux desktops – keep an eye on those or they may sneak up on you when you are not expecting…).

PGP signing/encryption is also handled much better as well as a raft of other great features. Spellchecking is also better integrated (hello red underline!)

The client is designed to look similar to outlook (however it does not run on Windows) and in all ways 0wnz it (well Outlook has it’s patented Virus-API which is the only thing missing from Evolution – although to some this is a plus).

Will.

One for the quotefile

A security issue has been identified that could allow an attacker to remotely compromise a computer running Microsoft Windows and gain complete control over it.

Good thing Linux just keeps getting better and better – RH9 is well worth upgrading to if you use an older version of Red Hat (in my case 8). One or two problems I was having have dissapeared and several new very cool utilities are there (naimly being able to browse a Windows based file sharing network).

More on that later.
