The Disc Shop listing update

I’m downgrading The Disc Shop’s blacklisting to a mere gray-listing on account that they are still good for purchasing individual parts and CD’s (although their CD range isn’t as good as it used to be).

I’d still strongly advise against getting a system or anything which has a chance of needed repairs from them based on our experiance (3/4 computers had problems). Repairs are very expensive (60 for the first half-hour, 30 for the remaining half-hours). By comparison, UMart charge $35 per hour – that’s a third of the cost. UMart (whitelisted) recently fixed one of our comptuers (actually a Disc Shop one which was still under warranty but I didn’t want to give it to them) and only charged $40 for labour – this involved extensive testing to find the problem, several phone calls and letters, and the replacement of two parts.

UMart always go the extra mile too – like with my power supply they gave me a monster with two fans. The CPU fan that they replaced has volume dial (which adjusts the RPM speed)! How 1337, now I am jelous ;-)

First big mac in over 2 years

Just had my first big mac in over 2 years (2 years, 5 months to be exact) – and they are as bad as I remembered them.

for the record – the only reason I had it is the lady gave us the wrong order and it would have been chucked… I still havn’t ordered a big mac in over 2 years ;-]

Great game – but slightly marred by his unbias comments I felt.

Well Eddy, the lions beat you by almost double your score, so just face it, they are better.
